Take Action: Put the Community Back in Oregon's Marine Reserves
Oregon's Governor has proposed cuts to the Marine Reserve Program and we need your help! This is a major failure to act on the 2023 decadal science review and puts coastal communities and the whole program at risk.

In better news from the Oregon legislature nearly all of our plastic pollution campaigns and associated bills are tracking. Both the plastic foam foodware and reusable container policies cleared the Senate and are now making their way through the House. With strong leadership from our Zero Waste Coalition, we're making waves in Salem this year on plastic pollution!
Salem can be an intimidating and confusing place, but participating in our legislative process doesn't have to be! That's why we've created a statewide policy page for tracking our campaigns and legislative issues during the long session years. Get the latest actions, find out where bills are at and learn how you can participate from the comfort of your own home!
Surfrider members from our Newport and Portland Chapters in Oregon joined our National Surfrider delegation last month for our 7th annual Coastal Recreation Hill Day in Washington, DC. Climate action, clean water protection, and eliminating plastic pollution were chief priorities for the over 100 meetings we held with congressional members and various members of the federal administration and natural resource agencies.
It's back! Get your tickets today! This fundraiser supports the Coos Bay Chapter's Blue Water Task Force Program and associated Student Scholarship Program, amazing food and drink, solid music, live auction, rad people. Join us.
