Why Volunteer with Surfrider?
Over the past two decades, Surfrider Volunteers have pulled thousands of pounds of trash from our beaches on July 5th.
Single-use plastic foodware, fireworks debris, cigarette butts, balloons, and other trash do tremendous harm to marine wildlife. And no one wants to surf, swim, and play at a beach littered with trash.
By joining Surfrider’s grassroots volunteer community, your efforts will not only leave the beach better than you’ll find it, you’ll also contribute to gathering valuable data about the kinds of trash that litter our beaches.
