On May 14-15, 2025 the Surfrider Foundation will host our ninth annual Coastal Recreation Hill Day! Hundreds of Surfrider activists from chapters and student clubs across the country will meet with our elected representatives in Congress to carry forward our demands for ocean protection and clean water at our beaches for ALL. This year will be a virtual event to ensure widespread engagement from across our network.
This Hill Day continues the lasting legacy of Surfrider’s annual federal advocacy event, which has engaged over 1,000 activists in 1,000 bipartisan meetings with federal elected officials since 2016. Not only do these events put coastal protection on the national agenda, they provide valuable, life-long skills that empower and inspire participants, including training in public speaking, civic engagement, advocacy, and community building.
