Deferred Gift Annuities
Gift annuities are generally most attractive to people in their seventies,
eighties or nineties since older donors generally enjoy higher payment rates
for gift annuities.
But, if you are in your forties, fifties, or sixties, you may want to consider a
deferred gift annuity agreement as part of your retirement planning. With
a deferred annuity, you transfer funds today and receive a tax deduction at the
time of the transfer, but payments to you begin at a date you specify several
years in the future.
