The key themes of the Summit will be:
Solutions that are working at the local, state and regional level and how to expand them;
How the marine community can develop a common voice and plan of action to address fossil fuel fired climate change impacts on the ocean and coastal environment; and,
The state of the pending Ocean Act and building effective national support to reform the way our government currently manages the coastal and ocean environments.

"Thomas Cambpell's latest, Sprout, changed the way everyone saw surfing. No longer was thrashing and slashing on a thruster worth watching. He threw out everything that was expected in a surf movie and replaced it with 16mm film, jazz, old boards, new riders, and above all, style. This is not a throwback to the 70's, this is a movie about true surf culture today, and how it has taken influence from yesteryear, but still manages to look towards the future."
The meeting is open to the public.
