Cape Fear Surfrider and Barefoot Wines team up to keep WB clean and raise awareness. Guest appearances by One Tree Hill star, Sophia Bush, and a wine tasting at Tower 7 Bar and Grille with live music by Jill Cunniff starting at 8PM.

Wednesday June 21, 2006 INTERNATIONAL SURF DAY
Cape Fear Surfrider will be at the Oceanic Street Entrance (Access #28) from 6:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. handing out schwag, cold H20 and bags for an impromptu Beach Clean Up.
Bring your board and catch an evening session with some friends and help celebrate surfing around the world. This is an informal event and there is no set itinerary. Come hang out with other surfers on the beach and catch a nice evening session after a hard day's work or a hard day's play. Be a part of this world wide event. Saturday, April 22nd Surfer Sweep Spring 2006
The Cape Fear Chapter of Surfrider is having its Spring Sweep at Oceanic Street WB, and at the Boardwalk Stage in Carolina Beach on Saturday, April 22nd.We will be starting at 9 a.m. and finishing at 1 p.m. with food, music and give-aways for the groms. Come join us while we clean the beach and have a good time.

Considering the chapter was runner-up to one of the nation's largest chapters, the San Diego Chapter, I think it appropriate that you give yourselves a nice round of applause for a job well done.

Cape Fear Surfrider had their first meet and greet with the newly elected Wrightsville Beach Board of Alderman and Mayor in Landfall.
September 2005 Surfer Sweep 2005
Thank you everyone who came out in support of Surfer Sweep this September!!!! A special thank you to all of our sponsors, particularly Cafe Del Mar, Root Soul Project, and K38 Baja Grill for the coffee, fantastic food, and entertainment that they donated! Another special thank you to Mr. Bill Columbus who donated space for the event's "base camp" outside his home. Thank you again to all of you who participated in helping preserve the the nature of our beach!
August 2005 East Coast Wahine Championships
Members of the Cape Fear and UNCW Chapters of the Surfrider Foundation participated in the 9th annual East Coast Wahine Championships in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The chapters donated water for the event, staffed the water tent, passed out Surfrider literature, and provided garbage stations where attendees and other beach-goers could dump plastic bottles and aluminum can for recycling.
July 2005 Groms Gone Environmental
Held on the North Side of Oceanic Pier on Sunday, July 31, 2005. This event is free and open to the first 50 children that show up.
The event will be co-sponsored by Surfrider Foundation, Redsand, Surf City Surf Shop, and Wrightsville Beach Surf Camp.
Please see attached word document for Program Specifics. Groms Gone Environmental (GGE) is a series of ten, one-day surf
clinics that take place along the East Coast, teaching children how to surf and take care of their surfing environment.
The surf clinics are free for boys and girls, ages 6-18.
